This Sunday, July 26th, is Starkey Hearing Foundation’s 15th Annual Awards Gala: So the World May Hear. People come from all around the world to celebrate the gift of hearing.
The Foundation’s mission, “So the World May Hear,” is about bringing understanding between people through caring and sharing. Each year, the foundation fits over 100,000 hearing aids to individuals worldwide, both children and adults. The foundation is also a member of the Clinton Global Initiative in which it plans to fit over one million hearing aids in this decade.
This year’s event has three honorees, the Delta Zeta Sorority, George W. Bush, and No Limits—a nonprofit organization that instills deaf children with the skills they need in order to excel in their education and throughout life.
Along with the honorees, the entertainers for this year include big names such as Katy Perry, Gene Simmons, Matt Nathanson, 2Cellos, and Jessica Sanchez. There will also be surprise performances throughout the evening.
Last year the gala raised over $8.7 million to support the foundation’s work throughout the world. Starkey HearCare is a proud partner of the Starkey Hearing Foundation. In the most recent gala that helped raise $7.5 million, we sponsored over $75,000 to this great organization.
